Nearly Exact Replacement - Great Price!
We have a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country and wouldn't ya know it, the Chrysler defective fuel cap syndrome bit us on inspection. Slow fuel pressure leak. I tossed around choosing between a yellow or black cap. My OCD said go with the original yellow but common sense kicked in and rather than the $18 yellow, went with this one at about a third of the price. Problem is none had a tether like the OEM. Gotta have that! Cool part of this is, the OEM tether can easily be removed by hand. Great start. Now the really cool part, if you drill the indentation out in the center of the cap handle, the OEM tether will fit it perfect! Yea! It must be the exact diameter as the indentation. You MUST be aware that you should not drill any deeper than required to make the hole. Bingo, for a really good price, you end up with a new gas cap that keeps the OEM tether.

Great!
Dealership said my vacuum error engine code was due to a leak in the purge control valve. I pointed out the gas cap was super loose and they said "Well the purge control valve is leaking." I replaced the valve myself (At about 10% the cost what they wanted) and still had the error. So I bought one of these lovely gas caps and you could feel the seal right away when you put it on. Haven't had the error since.

Does the trick!
My 2010 5.7l Dodge Ram was not starting with the remote and the engine light was always on. After reading online that an easy fix was to replace the gas cap. The first cap I bought in 2016 was from the dealer for about 20.00. Then the problem started again in November 2017. This time I went for an aftermarket Gates brand. I find that the Gates brand is made better than the one I bought from the dealer (much cheaper too). The only con is the lack of a tether, however that's not a problem if you just remember to keep it in sight so after you fill up you don't forget to replace it. And yes replacing the gas cap(s) did fix the problem I was having. You have to go through a couple of driving cycles (fill ups) before its back to normal but that a small price to pay for a cheap fix.

After replacing my 2013 Jeep Wrangler's gas cap cover the check engine light wouldn't go off (the code was for a loose/missing gas cap)... I saw a jeep review where purchasing a new gas cap solved the problem.... And it did! It took about 2 weeks post new gas cap and a clearing of the check engine light, but it worked!

Works as well as my factory cap.
My Dodge Charger was intermittently displaying a "check engine" light, we discovered it was a faulty/worn gas cap. This cap was a much cheaper solution than what the dealer had to offer. After extended use, it continues to work as good as new.

Fixed the idiot light. Looks like very good quality.
Stopped the check-engine light related to gas cap issue. Drilled carefully to remove that little circle in the middle, that's where the leash from my gas cap holder goes.

Great fuel cap and even better price
My Jeep kept flashing a light on my dash about a loose fuel cap and I know for a fact it was tight. Went ahead and just replaced the cap and problem solved. Great fuel cap and even better price!

Lost my cap. But a great replacement.
When I left the gas station, I was too distracted to notice that I left without installing my gas cap on my 2004 Nissan Frontier. I went back to the station and I failed to find it. It was probably stolen or something but it was no big deal. I went on Amazon and purchased this cap because it said it could fit on my truck. Got it super fast before I had to use it to get to work on Monday and it clicked without fail. I have used it for over a month as of this review and I have not seen any CHECK ENGINE lights or any errors. A great impulse purchase.

PO442 disappear!
I got this to replace a worn cap from my 03' 350z. The old one stopped clicking and could not seal tightly anymore so it threw a PO442 code. This one fits! The Z's cap is different than the standard thread because this has a single quick screw on thread so just make sure you order the correct one. This is correct. NOTE: it does not come with a tether but I'm ok with that. When my stock on had a tether, I cut it because the idiots in NJ do not understand the concept of either hanging it on the cap holder or at least hooking the line onto it which left scuffs on the paint. Not rocket science but when the majority do this, you take the guess work out and make it idiot proof....you lose the tether. Overall, the quality is pretty good, the clicks are very solid and the seal turns off the check engine code.

Fixed the Problem!
The gascap indicator light was on in my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. I bought this extremely reasonable replacement and my light is off - for me, that is a complete success story. I have read reviews that complain about not being able to tether it easily.......okay....I have NO complaints. No, it does not tether although I am sure I can eventually figure out a way to attach - for now though all is well. I would buy this again to get my light off and my vehicle running properly.
